Big Moves Only: “The Bridge with Sammy Chand” Goes Global, Baby!

You heard it here first (okay, maybe second): The Bridge with Sammy Chand is leveling up in a MAJOR way! Our beloved daily dose of South Asian music, culture, and real talk is stepping onto the international stage with some serious muscle behind it—Premiere Networks just joined forces with Rukus Avenue Radio to syndicate The Bridge globally starting March 31, 2025. Yes, that’s right. The world is about to get a whole lot more desi and dope.

Let’s break it down. The Bridge isn’t your typical show. It’s a cultural connector—spanning continents, genres, and generations—with Sammy Chand at the helm. The man is basically South Asian culture’s North Star (or maybe more accurately, a Desi OG). He's been doing this before doing this was even a thing. And now, his weekday one-hour show is about to hit international airwaves harder than a bhangra drop at a wedding after three tequila shots.

So what’s the big deal?

Oh, just a casual moment in radio history. With South Asia being the largest addressable market on the planet (hello, 1.5 billion+ people), The Bridge is the only daily radio show that taps into the entire Indian subcontinent’s musical heartbeat—from Bollywood to bhangra, hip hop to Haryanvi, Carnatic to cutting-edge fusion.

And now, thanks to this epic partnership with Premiere Networks (aka the syndication boss behind Ryan Seacrest, Steve Harvey, Bobby Bones, etc.), stations across the globe will be able to bring The Bridge to their listeners daily. That means your cousin in London, your auntie in Sydney, your college roommate in Dubai—they’re all about to vibe with the sounds of the diaspora.

“This is truly a transformative moment for South Asian culture around the world,” said Chand, in true visionary fashion. “The Bridge has been dedicated to uplifting and sharing the rich and diverse musical culture of our Indian subcontinent, and I can’t wait to engage our new audience and welcome them into our daily dialogue.”

We love a global takeover arc.

Who even is Sammy Chand?

If you don’t know, now you definitely know. Emmy-nominated music producer. Founder of Rukus Avenue Radio and Rukus Avenue Music Group. Creator of cross-cultural anthems. Builder of bridges—literally and musically. This is the same man who brought Indian music to So You Think You Can Dance, who teamed up with the United Nations and the White House, and who helped shape the identity of South Asian-Americans through music, storytelling, and good old-fashioned hustle.

From his early days with the trailblazing hip hop group Karmacy to his massive catalog of music in TV, film, and global campaigns, Sammy’s always been about one thing: bringing our stories to the forefront. And now, he’s bringing that same energy to radio waves across the globe. His style as a producer was influenced also by Dr. Dre and A.R. Rahman.

About that Rukus…

Founded in 2018, Rukus Avenue Radio is no stranger to shaking up the scene. We’re already the most listened-to South Asian radio and podcast network on the planet with over 10 million monthly listeners, 50+ dope hosts, and more than 200 hours of original content each month. Our shows span everything from dating drama to diaspora politics, from classical ragas to rap battles—and now, we’re teaming up with Premiere to keep pushing the culture forward.

So yes, we’re hyped. And we want YOU to be hyped too.

If you're a radio station outside the U.S. and want to bring The Bridge to your listeners (you should), hit up Tanya Juhasz at Premiere Networks at TJuhasz@premierenetworks.com or slide into her DMs at Radiodays Europe in Athens this March.

Until then, keep it locked. Keep it loud.
